Alien Breed 3 : Descent Review
Team 17's Alien Breed top-down shooter series is new to me and gives me a fresh insight as to what the game is like, so after playing through the first games demo and then the seconds I moved on to the 3rd and Final chapter of the games. I realised there is not much difference between the 3 games graphics stay relatively the same, The explosions and electricity being the high points of the graphics. However this is good as it keeps the player interested in game as it has not suddenly changed style and contrast. Almost there to let the player know they are playing the sequel to the games before.
The controls and User Interface are simple and easy for any player to pick up on, however I found my self fighting with the camera while switching directions and firing at the aliens and wasting a lot of ammo as the camera spun and put me of course, this also didn't help while navigating the levels as I would walk into fire and loose a chunk of health. The camera is not free swinging and you are set to a few angles which sometimes clash with the walls and objects around the stages. After a few attempts I had the camera and the movement all under control and the game became a lot more fun and exciting as I could easily turn and shoot and waste the enemies before they could get a hit on me even in some of the harder difficulties I had little trouble, until I realised I had been a bit to trigger happy and ran out of ammo and was stuck with the pistol.
The weapons are the same with two new additions being the project X "BFG" and the Elctro-link gun that fires bolts of electricity and sends a chain effect to nearby enemies out of the two new weapons the Project X has to be my favourite as it is superior to the other weapons but low on ammo, it vaporises everything that it comes into contact with used for close situations when surrounded for maximum effect and to not waste ammo. All of the weapons can be upgraded into 3 categories firing speed, reload speed and damage. Grenades return in two varieties one being frag and the other being a stun.
With the games repetitious actions through-out the game, yet still fun and exiting game play style I found the game fun and slightly addictive in survival mode, the opportunity to fire at waves of aliens one after the other trying to beat friends and other players high scores a challenge to not be passed on.
Game play 7/10
With camera controls taking a while to get used to and having to hold a button down for a period of time slightly annoying being the only real pains. Co-op being the main highlight of the game.
Graphics 6/10
The graphics are mediocre, apart from some of the visual effects the scenery is slightly bland and empty.
Sounds 8/10
The sounds used in the game are fitting and can be some what atmospheric and very suitable.
Total score 21/30

Bejeweled vs Cataclysm
I was playing world of warcraft with my freinds and fellow guild members when one of them linked me to this review.
Bejeweled 3 vs World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and i couldn't help but laugh as it went into detail about both games and which was better. coincedently niether won and it was pc gaming that stole the victory.

Need for speed Hot Pursuit Demo!
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit's demo arrives on the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Network for two weeks starting October 26th, giving you early access to Criterion Games' latest high-octane action racer, which Games Radar says "could redefine online racing forever". When you download the demo, you'll also receive 500 bounty points to put toward advancing your Cop and Racer careers when Hot Pursuit hits stores on November 16th.
In the demo, you'll get a chance to try the revolutionary Need for Speed Autolog system, an in-game social network which tracks your performance against your friends. Speaking of which, adding one of your friends to your Autolog friends list will unlock a new event in the demo called Roadsters Reborn. There is also a Cop event where you'll tear up the tarmac on Seacrest County's majestic mountains, trying to bust as many Racers as you can.

World of Warcraft Cata review
World of Warcraft
(Cataclysm)
Review
After a 2 year gap, and a long awaited expansion finally WoW Cataclysm beta is up and running and I have had the luxury of getting to the game early, the news about Deathwing tearing up the land of Azeroth to much for a WoW player like myself to pass up on.
After starting up the game and loading up my character I see that the game has not changed much it was never going to but fans of the game since 2005 will be happy to know that the game is going back in time to the “good ol’ days” of vanilla (original world of Warcraft) were equipment had to be earned not given and boss’s are hard and not some push over that players can attempt to brag about.
Yes of course there are significant improvements to graphics water has a new graphic entirely and actually begins to look like water rather than a puddle of pixels and the whole new story plot they have thrown in to keep us players interested actually seems like a story rather than some bad guy that we just wanted to kill to shut him up (Lich King) Deathwing actually sounds and looks like a “cool” endgame boss. The new dungeons actually a hurdle and the long awaited heroics of Deadmines and Shadow Fang Keep to satisfy the tastes of old level 18 dungeon lovers.
With an all new level cap of 85 and the 2 new races Worgen and Goblin how can the players that have tried to leave the game in the past and came back in wrath of the Lich king, and have done so again not come back, I mean who doesn’t want to play as a werewolf, in anything be it an mmorpg or not, and goblins with their go-karts as mounts.
So with new skills new mounts and the all new guild leveling system designed to bring players together and stop those all annoying guild hoppers new graphics revamped Cities, new bosses and new races. I am happy to give it a 8/10 the only things dragging it down being the lack of diversity and creativity in amour and weapons.
8/10
